Trucks are the second-most common platform (after vans) for modern nomadic living for those planning a self-built conversion. Trucks include skoolies (school bus conversions), box trucks, step vans, ambulances, and pickup trucks.
Truck advantages include larger living space, lower conversion difficulty, easier solar mounting, and may offer more durability. Disadvantages include higher vehicle clearance, worse fuel efficiency, and more parking difficulty.
