Window tint is important for many people who are living nomadically in their vehicles. Tints offer privacy and can increase stealth significantly. Some tints can help you keep cool by blocking sunlight before it enters your vehicle.

Removable window tint

You can purchase tinting film that is applied to your glass.

Legality

Window tinting above a certain percentage is illegal in certain regions, due to reduced visibility while driving and the fact that law enforcement officers cannot see into your vehicle when necessary. Be sure to know your local laws before adding tint to your windows.

If your vision is impaired while driving due to brightness:  “In some states you can get a note from an optometrist and take it to the dmv and they will give you and exemption and you can have it as dark as you want.[1]”

Ceramic window tint

Spending the extra money for ceramic window tint can help with keeping cool during warm weather, since it is better at stopping solar radiant heat from entering through your glass.

“ Ceramic tint at 70% will keep the heat out at all times. Any quality tint shop should have it. ”

“ Got my whole car done for $700. Was cool all summer and only needed a small fan at night to sleep.[2]”
