Toyota HiAce

The Toyota HiAce (pronounced High Ace) is a light commercial vehicle produced by Toyota. In Japan and other regions it is a popular choice for nomadic living. The HiAce been produced since 1967 and is available in a wide range of body configurations, including a minivan/MPV, minibus, panel van, crew van, pickup truck, taxi and an ambulance.

200 Series

The 200 series hiaces engines are under the front seats. To access it you ... fold the passenger seat back. BUT ... Given that the engine is under the front seat the engine will heat up the rear of the van (your living space) ... the engine just radiates the heat of a thousand suns into where your sleeping.[1]
