Spray bottles filled with water have many uses! They also tend to use much less water than other approaches:
- hygiene
- wet and rinse toothbrushes
- pre-wet hands before cleaning
- re-moisten dry wipes
- cooking
- wet unruly coffee filters to help hold them in place
- moisten leftover foods before reheating in a pan
- cleaning
- pre-wet utensils to soften dried foods before cleaning
- HVAC
- spray on skin and clothes as a “poor man's swamp cooler”.
