Selling your vehicle is never a fun part of vanlife (unless you're looking forward to an upgrade!), but just about everyone will need to sell a vehicle at some point. If you're quitting van life, or perhaps moving overseas for a longer period, you'll need to sell your van or camper! However, it's a bit different from selling cars or most other vehicles.
Where to list your van life vehicle
A van or other vehicle designed for nomadic living, especially a self-built one, is usually worth more than the base vehicle. Sometimes significantly more! You'll need to list your van where the buyers are, so check out the purchasing a vehicle page for resources.

Creating your listing
- Don't highlight the repairs you've made to the vehicle. This gives the impression that your van is a lemon. Instead, highlight that it drives great, is comfortable, has lots of convenient features, etc. It's okay to say what you've "upgraded" and "improved" but don't call them repairs and replacements.
- Take photos of your van interior with most (not all) personal items removed. It should look like a hotel room that's ready for a guest.
- Add closeup photos of features and systems so buyers can see what they look like and what condition they're in. Open the doors, drawers, cabinets, and access panels for some of the pictures.
- Add photos of the engine, underbody, etc. so buyers can see what condition the vehicle is in. For example, show the level of rust under your vehicle.
