Montana parking regulations:

  • Bozeman "requires people sleeping in cars or trailers on city streets to move every 30 days and allows the city to issue civil fines of up to $25, but only after people have been warned three times."[1]
  • Unofficially, Billings is regarded as anti-RV.[2]
  • Butte forbids parking RVs on the street for more than two days.[3]
  • In Kalispell it is a civil infraction to sleep overnight in vehicles parked on city streets.[4]
  • In Great Falls after March 15, 2022 it will be "unlawful to park a recreational vehicle, trailer or vessel on public right-of-way in any residential zoning district".[5]
  • Missoula bans "urban camping".[6]
