Geo-enabled PDFs (or Geo PDFs or GPS PDFs) are printable maps, but with embedded geographic coordinates that can be used with special apps on your phone or tablet to automatically show your position on the map. This allows you to use specialized and detailed maps for a very local area without an internet connection. This is particularly useful for dispersed camping or boondocking in areas like National Forests.
