Transfer pumps

Transfer pumps are useful for moving water or other liquids from one place to another through a hose or tube. In most cases you'll need two lengths of hose with the pump between them.

When sourcing water, you can install a 12v transfer pump in your vehicle to make it easy to pump water from a spigot or natural water source to your fresh water tank. You can pump water from your gray tanks to wherever you are dumping your tanks, but keep in mind that most pumps are not designed to handle solids that may be present in gray water. A maceration pump is needed in this case.

The pump in combination with a low backpressure water system can exceed all expectations.

Transfer pumps can also have self-contained rechargeable batteries if portability is a desired feature, but these generally won't be able to pump very much water.

Some transfer pumps have no motor of their own and use a portable drill to run the pump.
