Water conservation

From Nomad Life Wiki

Water conservation is an important part of water management for every nomad. You can use various techniques to use less water and to make the most of the water you do have.

Potable water is most valuable, since it can be used for any purpose due to its higher quality. Only use it for drinking, cooking, etc.

Non-potable water is useful when you don't need to consume or ingest it, such as showering, cleaning, and laundry.

Avoid spillage or contamination of your water storage.

When cleaning yourself, take sponge baths instead of showers. When showering, shut the water off while you lather up and scrub yourself, and then turn it back on to rinse off. Use "low flow" showerheads and water taps so you don't use more than you actually need. For the greatest water savings, use a spray bottle or misting showerhead/sink. When brushing your teeth, shut the water off.
