Solar generators

"Solar generators" are not solar generators. This common but misleading term refers to two things:

1. They can be connected to solar panels.
2. They can be used (in some cases) as a replacement for small conventional fuel-powered generators.

Rather, "solar generators" is a name for portable power stations, which are essentially just batteries with lots of inputs and outputs. They do not generate any electricity of their own as the name implies. "Solar generator" is primarily a marketing term, but it is in common use by nomads, especially those who have used conventional generators in the past.
