MOLLE panels

Nomad Life Wiki

MOLLE panels (sometimes called Molle boards or racks) are one solution for easily-accessible storage in your vehicle, whether living nomadically or car camping. Molle panels are popular in military and tactical vehicle applications. They're best for storing items that you need to access regularly or quickly while keeping them secured for travel, such as tools or cooking equipment.

MOLLE stands for "Modular Lightweight Load-bearing Equipment". Accessories and pouches designed for Molle use can be quickly moved from one board to another or to clothing items using the PALS straps, such as a vest or jacket.

In your vehicle, Molle panels might be attached to the rear of the front driver's and passenger's seats, bolted to the walls or ceiling, or mounted externally. This can help you get more storage space out of otherwise-unused surfaces, helping you to maximize the amount of gear that you can store and actually find when you need it.
