Housesitting

Nomad Life Wiki

Housesitting is a way for nomads to stay in a place for free, sometimes for weeks or months at a time. For those who live in a vehicle, it can be a welcome respite from the small quarters, and a chance to use an "unlimited" shower, large kitchen, and other amenities of a sticks and bricks house.

Membership to house-sitting services may cost $100 per year or more, but this can be worth it if it saves you hotel or campground expenses. For example, with leading site Trusted House Sitters, you'll pay about $129 per year, but do not pay or get paid for a house sitting job.

In most cases, house sitting jobs include the requirement that you care for the homeowner's pets during your stay.
