Hatti’s family is deeply saddened to share the news that she passed away from dengue fever whilst on a surf trip to Lombok, Indonesia in February this year.
She was widely and deeply loved, her death has sent a tidal wave of shock and grief to her family and many friends across the world. After much consideration we felt it was right to let her online community know of this tragic news. Hatti was a free spirit with a deep love for travel. She is already missed beyond words by her friends, family, and the many communities she became a part of wherever she lived. Our combined heartbreak over her loss has been immeasurable. Her plan after Lombok was to raffle her beloved van, Olive, to fund her next adventure. Her family are honouring this wish, and will be donating the proceeds to her chosen charity, Surfers Against Sewage @surfersagainstsewage – a grassroots environmental organisation campaigning to protect the ocean and all it makes possible.
