EveryVoyage

Nomad Life Wiki

EveryVoyage is a new app for road-trip tracking, travel journal and stop-discovery app for motorhome, campervan, RV and other road-trip travellers. It brings together finding places to stop, recording routes with GPS, saving photographs and memories, and keeping a complete multi-stage adventure together on one map.

The app is available for Apple and Android devices.

EveryVoyage includes more than 280,000 campsites, aires, motorhome parking areas, overnight stops and service points. Travellers can also find practical facilities such as drinking water, waste disposal, LPG and laundry services. Places can be filtered according to their facilities, location and nearby activities. Users can rate places, add photographs, leave practical updates and add locations that are missing from the map. These updates are intended to help other travellers decide whether a place suits their journey.

Travellers can start a Trip and record the road they travel using GPS. Route recording continues when there is no mobile signal and can be uploaded when the connection returns. Journeys that were not recorded live can also be added afterwards. EveryVoyage displays information such as distance, journey time, route statistics and elevation, with separate driving days brought together inside the complete Voyage.

Photographs, notes and Moments can be added during or after a journey. Each Moment remains connected to the location where it happened. Travellers can also record expenses such as fuel, food, accommodation and campsite costs. When several Trips and Moments are placed inside a Voyage, the app creates a visual record showing the route, stops, photographs and memories from the full adventure.

Community and sharing

EveryVoyage includes a community feed where travellers can follow other users and discover real road trips. Users can like and comment on posts, mention other travellers and share individual Trips, Moments or complete Voyages with friends and family. Seeing places within a complete Voyage can provide additional context, including how another traveller reached the location, where they stopped before and afterwards, and how the place fitted into the wider journey.

Privacy

EveryVoyage includes controls designed for travellers who want to share their journey without revealing their precise current location. Trips and Voyages can be kept private, shared with selected people or made visible to the wider community. Users can hide exact start and end points, use Privacy Zones around sensitive locations and delay publishing until they have moved on.

Background

EveryVoyage was created by co-founders Luke Barber and Peter. The idea developed from Peter's experience of living and travelling in a motorhome through Europe, including a winter journey from Denmark to Spain. The app was designed around the idea that a road trip is more than its final destination. Its purpose is to preserve the route travelled, the unexpected stops and the memories made along the way.

Availability

EveryVoyage is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play. The app can be downloaded and used for free, with additional features available through EveryVoyage Premium. EveryVoyage currently supports discovering stops, recording and adding past Trips, creating a travel journal, sharing journeys and exploring routes recorded by other travellers. Full turn-by-turn route planning is not currently included.
