Class A motorhomes (or Class A RVs) can be the most expensive RVs available, available with every conceivable luxury and amenity. They may look like buses but most are not built on bus chassis.

- long, may exceed some RV park or National Park length limitations
- material and assembly quality can be iffy, even on well-known marques (Tiffin, Fleetwood)
- diesel repair and tire replacement can be expensive
