Bug screens (or insect screens) are a valuable addition to your vehicle setup for living nomadically and camping, especially in rural areas during warmer weather. There are commercially-available screens which fit over or attach to your vehicle doors, windows, or tailgate, or you can make your own from regular window screen fabric or other materials.

Making your own bug screens
To make temporary screens, simply purchase screen cloth and magnets from any hardware store. Cut the screen to fit your window or door opening, and then use magnets around the edge to secure the screen in place.
