Bike tents make a handy spot to store things while camping and offer protection from the weather. They allow you to get more things out of your vehicle and keep them outside for the duration of your stay. You can use them for outdoor equipment like camp chairs, or you can set up a small table inside to use as a temporary kitchen or work surface. You can also use bicycle tents for, you guessed it, storing bikes!
While bike tents offer protection from the weather and can keep your camp site looking cleaner, they do not protect against many animals. For example, if you are in an area where bears or racoons are present, and keep food in your bike tent, you may very well find it destroyed in the morning or when you return from being away.
